Runstamp reports correctness in four ordered stages:
valid: the output passes the named structural validator.preserved: content outside the declared change follows the profile's preservation rules.intendedChangeVerified: the declared change is present in the reopened output.deliveryReady: the exact output passed the profile's render, layout and target-app checks.
A stage passes only if every earlier stage passed. A passing stage includes evidence hashes. Work not done is not_checked. A claim the system cannot prove is not_verifiable. Neither is success.
Business correctness is outside the ladder. Document checks do not prove that a forecast, legal position, approval, calculation or conclusion is right.
if (!result.ok) return refuse(result.error);
const { ladder } = result.verification ?? {};
if (ladder?.preserved.state !== "pass"
|| ladder.intendedChangeVerified.state !== "pass") {
return refuse("The workbook change is not verified.");
}The report is versioned and hash-bound. Check the profile identity, output hash, report hash, and every stage your workflow requires.
